The Little Scientists House STEM certification program identifies to your children, parents, peers and the wider community, your service’s commitment to hands-on, inquiry-based STEM education.
It is designed to recognise services and schools that promote an active learning environment, incorporating best practice elements such as inquiry-based learning, metacognition and co-construction.
We strongly recommend that you have your professional development requirements up to date prior to applying. This means that a minimum of two (2) members of your team have to have attended at least two (2) Little Scientists workshops. One needs to be a Face to Face workshop and one can be an online workshop (Inspire STEM). Then you also need to make sure that you have a project that demonstrates how you are implementing STEM into your daily practice ready to go. Make sure that you have all the documentation, photos etc ready. Our online application process will guide you through a set of questions.

RECEIVE:
Submit the application with project documentation through our online portal.
You can save your progress and add to your application as long as this round is open. Once you are confident that you have addressed all criteria and provided sufficient documentation, you need to submit the project so we can commence the review process.
Application rounds and associated deadlines will be announced on our website on a regular basis.
Applications will be reviewed by the Little Scientists Team and checked against our quality assurance and eligibility criteria. We will let you know if your application is approved or if we require further information or documentation from you.
Once your application has been approved, you will be sent a link to finalise the certification process by paying the certification fee of $165.
Within four (4) weeks of the payment receipt, you will receive your STEM Starter pack including our STEM project book “Everyday inquiry in practice” and our STEM Starter Cards.
Once this application round has closed and all successful applications have been compiled, we will also commence production of the Little Scientists House plaque. In addition, you will also be added to our interactive map of certified services and you will be given complimentary access for two people to our monthly professional learning webinar, STEM Hour.
